We’re looking for a Product Owner / Business Analyst to take ownership of a humanitarian transparency platform. This is a hybrid role: you’ll shape product direction and priorities, and you’ll also own the requirements behind every feature, from stakeholder workshops to detailed PRDs the team builds from.
🌍 About the Product
A web platform that helps a humanitarian organization in Ukraine manage its projects, beneficiary data and finances transparently, with AI-powered features built in. The product is in active development, and you’ll join a running Scrum team.
🧙♂️ In This Role You Will
Own the product backlog and prioritize it based on user and business value.
Shape the product roadmap together with the Tech Lead and client stakeholders.
Act as the Product Owner in Scrum: drive refinement, set sprint goals, accept delivered work.
Run workshops and interviews with stakeholders to understand their processes, goals and pain points.
Write PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria detailed enough for the team to build from directly.
Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements.
Model business processes such as workflows, approvals, roles and permissions.
Balance scope, value and effort, and communicate trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
Work with design to validate solutions, and with the AI team on requirements for AI-powered features.
Collect feedback from demos and user testing and turn it into product decisions.
Keep product documentation structured, current and traceable to decisions.
🎯 You May Be Interested If
You enjoy both deciding what to build and working out exactly how it should work.
You want real ownership of a product, not just a backlog to maintain.
You can join an existing product and get productive quickly.
You like untangling complex business logic into clear, usable solutions.
You want your work to have visible real-world impact.
👌 Role Requirements
3+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or in a combined PO/BA role on software products.
Strong hands-on experience as a PO in Scrum.
Proven experience writing PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
Ability to prioritize a backlog and make product decisions under constraints.
Experience with complex business processes such as workflows, approvals and role-based access.
Confidence facilitating stakeholder workshops, including with senior client stakeholders.
Process and data modeling skills (BPMN or similar, user flows, basic data models).
Enough technical understanding to discuss APIs, integrations and data with engineers.
Experience with Jira and Confluence.
English at B2 level or higher.
⭐ Nice to Have:
Experience on projects involving data platforms, reporting, or dashboards.
Familiarity with NGO, humanitarian, or grant-funded project environments.
Experience writing technical documentation or API specs alongside developers.
Knowledge of UX/UI principles for requirements validation.
💻 Working Conditions:
Employment Type: Full-Time
This is a fully remote position with the entire team across Ukraine.
20 working days of paid vacation per year.
The team collaboratively defines deadlines, ensuring a balanced and manageable workload. The focus is on delivering commitments on time.
Flexible working hours to promote a healthy work-life balance.
