3D Designer CV Template

A 3D Designer sits between art direction and technical pipeline: you model, texture, light, and ship what the brief promised. Studios in gamedev, Web3, and advertising hire on portfolio first, but the CV still has to surface stack depth and production metrics. This template helps you frame Blender, Cinema 4D, Substance, and Unreal work in a way recruiters can scan quickly.

FAQ

Common questions about this CV

Can I become a 3D designer without an art degree?

Yes. Nobody checks your diploma, only the portfolio. But without a base in composition, anatomy, and colour you'll struggle against academically trained peers. Online courses and master copies close the gap fast.

Which tool should I learn first: Blender, Maya, or Cinema 4D?

Blender is the most flexible and free option today, useful in gamedev, motion, and even archviz. Cinema 4D leads in motion design and advertising. Maya is still standard in big gamedev studios. Pick by the niche you want to enter.

Is it still viable to live off NFT and Web3 work in 2026?

The 2021 firehose is long gone, but the market is alive. Strong studios still ship collections for brands and game universes. Don't put everything in one basket, keep gamedev or ad work in your portfolio too.

Do I need Unreal Engine if I'm a modeller?

It helps a lot. Studios increasingly want people who understand the real-time pipeline: optimization, LODs, material workflow. Basic Unreal at the import-light-material level is enough to get started.
