Flexifai is looking for a Project / Product Manager with hands-on experience in PSP / payment processing and a deep understanding of payment integrations.
For this position, classic Project Management experience alone is not enough. We need someone who has already worked inside payment infrastructure, understands how a PSP / payment provider integration works from documentation to production, and can independently manage such projects without needing the basic payment logic explained.
We need someone who understands not only how to manage delivery, but also what exactly the team is integrating and how it works from a payment flow perspective.
You should be confident with the following concepts and processes:
PSP / payment provider integrations;
payment gateways / acquiring;
payment methods and routing;
deposits / payouts;
payment lifecycle and transaction statuses;
API integrations;
REST APIs, requests / responses;
webhooks / callbacks;
authentication, signatures, and API keys;
error handling;
sandbox / staging / production environments;
status mapping between systems;
reconciliation and basic financial flow logic;
troubleshooting integration issues.
We expect the PM to be able to open the documentation of a new payment provider, understand the integration flow, ask the right questions, break the integration down into tasks, and drive it through to production. You don’t need to write code. However, you need to understand the technical logic of an integration well enough not to act as simply a middleman between business and developers.
PSP & Payment Integration:
Manage integrations with new PSPs, payment providers, and payment methods.
Analyze provider API documentation together with the technical team.
Understand the full integration flow: from business requirements and credentials to sandbox, testing, and production.
Break integrations down into clear tasks for development / QA.
Manage dependencies, credentials, environments, merchant configuration, and other prerequisites.
Understand the payment flow and identify where an issue occurred.
Coordinate developers, QA, business stakeholders, and external payment providers.
Manage testing, launch, and post-release stabilization of integrations.
Help quickly identify blockers and root causes and keep integrations moving forward.
Project & Delivery Management:
Manage multiple integration / fintech projects simultaneously.
Maintain the backlog in Jira as the single source of truth.
Create and manage Epics, Tasks, dependencies, and priorities.
Plan team workload and timelines using Jira Plans.
Monitor delivery and identify risks in advance.
Unblock developers through clarification, escalation, or priority changes.
Run structured stand-ups focused on progress and blockers.
Ensure status accuracy and delivery transparency.
Product:
Understand the architecture and structure of the payment product.
Identify dependencies between integrations, payment methods, and other parts of the platform.
Set priorities: what to integrate, why, and in what order.
Translate business requests into clear product / technical flows.
Ask the right questions to stakeholders and propose solutions rather than simply documenting requirements.
Maintain documentation in Confluence.
