About us

We’re Smart Factory — a product company building software for the manufacturing industry. Our product is gaining real traction, and we’re now opening up the German-speaking market (DACH): Germany, Austria, Switzerland). We’re looking for the person who’ll help us win it.

The role

This is a hands-on outbound sales role, and the heart of it is talking to people. In the Netherlands, one focused salesperson driving cold and semi-cold calling has been remarkably effective for us — and we want to repeat that in the German market.

You’ll:

Open new business across DACH through cold and semi-cold calling — this is the core of the role

Build relationships on LinkedIn: real, personal outreach (supported by light automation), with a soft-selling approach

Give Smart Factory product demos in German (or grow into it)

Help us make the most of our presence at a major industry trade show this September

Own the top of the funnel — from first hello to a qualified conversation

What we’re looking for

Fluent or native German — this is essential. You’ll be calling, writing to, and presenting to German-speaking prospects every day.

Proven experience in outbound sales, cold calling, or business development

You’re comfortable — and effective — on the phone. Cold and semi-cold calling doesn’t scare you; you’re good at it.

Solid English — our internal team works and communicates in English

Self-driven, organized, and resilient — you can run your own pipeline without being chased

Nice to have

• Experience selling B2B software / SaaS, ideally to manufacturing or industrial companies • Experience giving product demos

• Comfortable with CRM and sales-automation / LinkedIn outreach tools
