FAQ

Common questions about this CV

Should the CV link to a portfolio?

Always. The portfolio is the document, the CV is the cover sheet. Link to Instagram or a PDF with before-and-afters. Without visuals you will not get called in for a working interview.

I worked from home, no salon name. Is that a problem?

Not if your portfolio and book are strong. Highlight average ticket, number of regulars and your technique mix. A good salon sees a ready-made personal brand.

Should I list every color brand?

Only the ones you used regularly on real clients. Lead with Redken, Wella, Schwarzkopf, L'Oreal, Olaplex. A messy 'all brands' list reads like noise.

Should I include Instagram follower count?

Yes, especially above 5 000. Pair it with the share of clients who came from social media. That tells the salon you bring your own demand.

How much experience for a senior chair?

Usually 4-5 years, a full color technique stack and 60%+ retention. Without all three, senior offers are rare.
