  1. Q1Walk me through the toughest cloud migration you've led. What broke and how did you handle it?
  2. Q2How would you design a highly available web app for 1M users on AWS?
  3. Q3Compare Terraform state in S3 with DynamoDB locking versus Terraform Cloud. Which would you pick for a 10-engineer team and why?
  4. Q4It's 3 a.m. and a P1 alert fires for 500s in production. Walk me through your first 30 minutes.
  5. Q5Tell me about a time you cut cloud costs. What did you measure and what did you change?
FAQ

Common questions about this CV

Do I need an AWS certification to apply?

It helps but isn't a hard requirement when you have real experience. Solutions Architect Associate or Cloud Practitioner is a nice signal at junior and mid level; for senior roles, recruiters care more about the projects you've actually shipped.

What if I've only worked with one cloud provider?

That's fine. Most companies hire for the stack they already run. Be honest about your depth in one provider and mention the others at the level you actually know them, side projects included.

How do I position DevOps experience for a Cloud Engineer role?

The roles overlap heavily, so re-emphasise the infrastructure side: IaC, networking, cloud services, cost optimisation. Keep CI/CD in your bullets but don't make it the headline.

How long should my CV be?

One page for junior and mid level, two pages for senior engineers with 7+ years of experience. Anything longer and recruiters skim past your strongest work.
