Cloud Engineers design, deploy and run infrastructure on AWS, GCP or Azure, and recruiters spend about 10 seconds scanning your CV for the services you actually shipped. This template helps you frame your experience so a tech lead sees your level instantly and HR keeps you in the shortlist.
Copy these as starting points and swap in your own numbers.
2024–2025 estimates. Wide ranges by experience and seniority.
It helps but isn't a hard requirement when you have real experience. Solutions Architect Associate or Cloud Practitioner is a nice signal at junior and mid level; for senior roles, recruiters care more about the projects you've actually shipped.
That's fine. Most companies hire for the stack they already run. Be honest about your depth in one provider and mention the others at the level you actually know them, side projects included.
The roles overlap heavily, so re-emphasise the infrastructure side: IaC, networking, cloud services, cost optimisation. Keep CI/CD in your bullets but don't make it the headline.
One page for junior and mid level, two pages for senior engineers with 7+ years of experience. Anything longer and recruiters skim past your strongest work.
