Senior Technical Project Manager

Synosonic is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager for a digital solutions programme at a large European public-sector organisation. The work supports systems used for grants, proposal evaluation and audit management.
This is a senior delivery role that combines project leadership with a strong technical background. You’ll coordinate a 5–10 person Agile team and work with business and technical stakeholders to keep delivery on track.
What you’ll do
Plan and manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risks.
Lead project planning, estimation, requirements refinement and change control.
Coordinate a 5–10 person development team in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Work with business managers, technical teams and other stakeholders.
Prepare roadmaps, work breakdown structures, status reports, dashboards and risk registers.
Review deliverables and support code quality, security and test coverage.
Coordinate work across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, cloud deployment and CI/CD.
Facilitate project meetings and communicate progress, risks and decisions clearly.
What we’re looking for
A university degree equivalent to EQF Level 7, typically a Master’s degree or five years of higher education.
At least 15 years of professional IT experience.
Senior experience managing technical projects or software delivery.
English or French at B2 level or higher.
Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, risk management and stakeholder coordination.
Experience with Agile/Scrum and recognised project management methods such as PRINCE2 or PMBOK.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Confluence or SharePoint.
A broad technical background in enterprise software delivery. Relevant technologies include Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, PostgreSQL or Oracle, WebLogic/JEE, AWS or Azure, CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with API security, testing, code quality and software architecture.

Assignment details
The assignment requires on-site presence in Brussels or Geel one day per week. Additional on-site attendance may occasionally be requested at short notice. Remote work, where permitted, must be performed from an EU Member State
