Senior Rive Animator
Our client is a fast-growing mobile product in the space of interactive digital trading card collecting. The company builds a highly visual product where animation and interactivity play a key role in the overall user experience.
We're currently looking for a Senior Rive Animator to join the product team and help create polished, interactive animation experiences for the mobile application.
What you’ll do
Create high-quality interactive animations in Rive for our mobile application.
Develop animations for key product experiences, including card reveals, pack-opening experiences, rewards, transitions, UI interactions and other engaging product moments.
Work closely with developers and product/design teams to make sure animations are technically suitable for implementation and perform well in the live product.
Translate product and design concepts into interactive, production-ready animation systems.
Create and maintain animation states, transitions and interactions based on user actions and application logic.
Iterate on animations based on feedback from developers and the product team.
Optimize animations for mobile performance and a smooth user experience.
Prepare clean, well-organized Rive files that can be easily integrated and maintained by developers.
Contribute to the visual and motion language of the product as it evolves.
What we’re looking for
3+ years of professional experience in animation / motion design, with strong experience creating animations for digital products.
Strong hands-on experience with Rive.
A strong portfolio demonstrating live, production-level projects, preferably mobile applications or interactive digital products.
Experience creating interactive rather than purely linear animations.
Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, transitions and motion design.
Experience collaborating closely with developers and adapting animation to technical requirements.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of animation tasks and iterate quickly based on feedback.
Strong attention to detail and a good sense of product aesthetics and user experience.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
Nice to have
Experience with mobile applications and mobile UI/UX.
Experience with Rive State Machines, inputs, triggers and other interactive Rive features.
Experience with other animation tools such as After Effects, Lottie or Spine.
Experience with character, UI or gamified product animation.
Experience working in an early-stage startup or fast-paced product environment.
Understanding of how animation is integrated into iOS/Android applications.

A portfolio is an essential part of the application process.
We are particularly interested in seeing:
Live applications or production projects where your animations are currently being used.
Interactive animations that respond to user actions or application states.
Examples demonstrating collaboration between animation and development.
A variety of animation projects rather than only one type of work.
