About the Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer (Backend Focus) to join the engineering team and help ensure the quality and reliability of a complex cryptocurrency ecosystem.
This role is ideal for an experienced QA Automation Engineer who enjoys working with backend services, APIs, distributed systems, and modern automation frameworks. You’ll take ownership of automation, contribute to the testing strategy, and collaborate closely with developers to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable software.
You’ll work on critical parts of the platform, including wallet infrastructure, blockchain integrations, cryptocurrency transactions, payment flows, APIs, and web applications.
What You’ll Do
-Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend services, APIs, web applications, and end-to-end business flows.
-Automate testing for cryptocurrency transactions, wallet operations, deposits, withdrawals, and payment integrations.
-Validate blockchain-related functionality and integrations with third-party providers.
-Build reliable API, integration, and UI automation using modern testing frameworks.
-Collaborate with developers throughout the development lifecycle to ensure high product quality.
-Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and CI/CD improvements.
Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with engineers to resolve issues.
-Improve automation coverage, reliability, and execution speed.
-Monitor test results and contribute to a stable release process.
-Use AI-assisted development tools to improve automation productivity while maintaining high code quality.
What You’ll Need
-5+ years of commercial experience in QA Automation.
-Strong programming skills in C#/.NET.
-Strong experience with Playwright (preferred) or another modern UI automation framework.
-Solid experience with API automation and REST API testing.
-Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks.
-Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation.
-Understanding of software testing principles and test automation architecture.
-Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated test execution.
-Understanding of authentication, authorization, and web security fundamentals.
-Experience testing distributed systems, asynchronous processes, and microservices.
-Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot production issues, and investigate complex defects.
-Practical experience using AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude Code, etc.) in the development workflow.
-Strong analytical thinking, ownership, and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
-Commercial experience in cryptocurrency, blockchain, fintech, digital assets, or payment systems.
-Experience testing wallet infrastructure or cryptocurrency payment processing.
-Understanding of blockchain fundamentals, wallet architecture, transaction lifecycle, addresses, and confirmations.
-Experience integrating with blockchain networks or crypto APIs.
-Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud environments.
-Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus.
-Experience with performance or load testing.
