We are hiring an experienced .NET Engineer for a new technology product aimed at making warehouse operations smarter and more efficient, particularly when it comes to capacity and space management.
The project is currently at its initial development phase. Rather than joining a mature platform with established solutions, you’ll be helping turn the product concept into its first functional version and determine how its core backend should work.
This position involves a mix of backend engineering, data processing, distributed systems, and computational problem-solving.
What You’ll Work On
Your focus will be on creating the technical backbone of the platform, including:
Engineering server-side functionality with C# and the .NET ecosystem
Creating service interfaces and defining how data moves between system components
Implementing messaging-based communication with Apache Kafka
Handling asynchronous processes and event-based workflows
Translating complex operational requirements into reliable backend logic
Processing and managing substantial volumes of application data
Developing solutions for calculation and optimization scenarios
Defining technical approaches together with a small engineering team
Taking features from an initial idea to a working implementation
Applying AI development tools and agent-based workflows as part of the engineering process
Background We’re Looking For
You should have substantial professional experience developing backend applications with C# and .NET, along with a strong understanding of how production backend systems are structured.
For this position, we also need:
Real-world experience using Apache Kafka
Knowledge of messaging patterns, asynchronous communication, and event-based systems
Strong understanding of software architecture and designing backend solutions
Practical SQL experience
Experience creating and integrating RESTful services
Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Ability to break down technically complex problems and find practical solutions
Confidence working with limited initial specifications and choosing appropriate technical approaches without constant guidance
Experience That Would Be Useful
Additional relevant experience may include:
Microsoft Azure or another major cloud provider
Systems involving large datasets, calculations, or optimization
Rapid prototyping and PoC / MVP development
Greenfield engineering and early product development
Software for logistics, warehousing, stock management, or supply chain operations
Development workflows involving AI coding assistants
