What is the project, and why should you care?
At BetSymphony, we are embarking on an ambitious project to revolutionize the online gambling industry. Our vision is to build a cutting-edge gambling platform that will serve as the foundation for multiple brands, each with its own identity, market focus, and product strategy. The platform is designed to provide a seamless, secure, and high-performance experience for users worldwide.
As a Senior QA Engineer on our team, you will play a key role — not just executing tests, but also shaping how quality is defined, measured, and embedded across the entire product lifecycle — from requirement analysis and test design to sprint goals sign off. You will drive testing strategy across frontend, backend, and integration layers, mentor mid-level QA engineers, and serve as the primary quality voice in cross-functional planning and delivery discussions.
This role requires a hands-on professional who is strong in manual testing but also capable of contributing to test automation efforts. You will collaborate closely with BA, developers, and DevOps engineers to build a robust quality culture, improve testing processes, and ensure high standards across multiple brands and releases.
Working on this project will expose you to complex product logic, integrations with external providers, and high-load systems in a fast-paced environment. You will join a team that values ownership, proactive communication, and continuous improvement, with real opportunities to influence product quality and engineering standards.
You will be an excellent fit for this position if you have:
6+ years of experience in Manual QA.
Proven experience designing and owning end-to-end test strategies for complex, multi-service web platforms.
Deep expertise in REST API testing: independently assessing complex business logic, contract correctness, and edge-case behaviour across interconnected services.
Strong command of test documentation: test strategies, test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and BDD scenario authoring (Gherkin or equivalent).
Solid grasp of microservices and distributed systems testing challenges — including data consistency, service interdependencies, and regression risk in shared infrastructure.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and understanding of how QA gates integrate into automated build processes.
Hands-on familiarity with performance and load testing concepts; ability to interpret results, identify risk thresholds, and escalate findings to engineering.
Experience with test management tools (TestRail or equivalent) and defect tracking platforms (Jira or equivalent), including writing detailed bug reports with root cause analysis and business impact assessment.
Demonstrated ability to identify systemic quality risks and proactively drive mitigation at a process level — not just ticket-by-ticket.
Strong communication and influencing skills — comfortable contributing to architectural reviews, sprint planning, and stakeholder discussions from a quality perspective.
Upper-Intermediate to Advanced English (written and spoken).
Strong practical command of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) applied to QA workflows — test case generation, exploratory testing, bug analysis, and documentation — with the ability to critically evaluate outputs and help establish responsible team practices around their use.
Experience in online gambling, fintech, or other high-load, regulated systems.
Nice to have
Technical background or degree in Computer Science.
Automation skills (e.g. Java + REST Assured, Selenium, or equivalent) — enough to read, review, and meaningfully contribute to automation coverage discussions.
Hands-on experience with performance or load testing tooling (e.g. Locust, k6, JMeter).
Experience testing real-time data systems: WebSockets, event streams, or feed-based integrations
