Project Description
The company is currently launching a new initiative focused on test automation and simulation of IoT devices and embedded systems. The main goal is to build a platform that will enable automated testing of interactions between devices, cloud services, APIs, and user interfaces.
The project includes the development of cloud-based device simulators, automated testing solutions, and support for multiple company product models.
An engineer in this position will collaborate with firmware, cloud, QA, and product teams to develop test automation solutions and contribute to the growth of the device simulation platform.

What You’ll Do
QA Automation — Design and develop automated test frameworks for IoT and connected products — Implement automated testing for APIs, UIs, and cloud integrations — Create regression and negative-path validation scenarios — Support commissioning, service, dispense, factory, and OTA workflows
Device Simulation — Develop and maintain device simulators for multiple product lines — Build cloud-deployable simulator environments — Enable simulator control through both UI and API interfaces — Support scenario-driven automated validation
Embedded & Cloud Validation — Validate device-to-cloud and cloud-to-device contracts — Collaborate with firmware and cloud engineering teams — Support validation of telemetry and command-processing flows — Assist with integration and system-level testing strategies
Infrastructure & Collaboration — Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines — Participate in architecture and design discussions — Help define reusable testing and simulation standards — Collaborate across QA, firmware, cloud, and product teams
Job Requirements
5+ years of experience in QA Automation or SDET roles
Strong software development and automation engineering background with Javascript / Typescript
Experience testing APIs, web applications, and connected devices
Familiarity with embedded systems and connected products
Experience designing scalable automation frameworks
Understanding of cloud-connected architectures and telemetry flows
Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications — Experience with Python — Experience with device simulators or emulation platforms — Experience with CI/CD automation strategies
