WHO WE ARE?
We are Edge Solutions Lab, a team of engineers with a strong background in product development of edge solutions and data platforms.
We have a long-term partnership with a customer in the US who is looking to expand their onsite team with talented engineers like you. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders, work on impactful projects, and contribute to the development of next-generation electronic devices for healthcare, biotechnology, and research domains.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking a highly skilled PCB Designer to join our team, working on innovative electronic hardware for healthcare and life-science applications, including connected diagnostic and monitoring devices. In this role, as part of a team, you will take boards from schematic to production-ready manufacturing data, working closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and mechanical designers to deliver reliable, compact, and manufacturable PCBs that meet the demanding quality and safety requirements of the medical domain.
This is a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly, so we value someone who adapts easily and stays effective when project focus changes.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
Perform PCB design work in Altium Designer, from schematic capture and library creation to layout and release of manufacturing data.
Design and lay out multi-layer rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCBs for healthcare and biotechnology devices.
Create and maintain schematic symbols, footprints, and component libraries in accordance with company standards.
Perform component placement, routing, and stackup definition with a focus on signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI.
Lay out mixed-signal designs combining sensitive analog front-ends, low-power digital circuits, and wireless interfaces.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to review schematics, define design constraints, and resolve layout-related issues.
Work with mechanical engineers to ensure proper fit, board outline, connector placement, and enclosure integration.
Ensure designs meet DFM, DFA, and DFT requirements, as well as NDAA compliance (component sourcing and vendor restrictions), and communicate with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors.
Support prototype bring-up, testing, and design iterations based on feedback.
Maintain design documentation and revision control in line with quality management and regulatory requirements.
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG:
At least 3 or more years of working experience as a PCB Designer.
Strong hands-on experience with Altium Designer.
Experience with multi-layer, HDI, and controlled-impedance board designs.
Understanding of high-speed and mixed-signal design principles, grounding, and power distribution.
Experience designing boards with wireless modules (BLE, Wi-Fi) and antenna considerations.
Good understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes, materials, and tolerances.
Ability to read and understand schematics, datasheets, and mechanical drawings, and to make minimal schematic changes when needed.
Experience with version control and PLM/ECO processes for hardware projects.
Flexibility in your approach to projects and the ability to quickly switch focus between tasks, products, and priorities as project needs change.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
Good communication skills in English and the ability to work in a distributed team.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or other related fields.
WILL BE A PLUS:
Knowledge of PCB design standards (IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-7351, IPC-A-610).
Experience in medical device development and familiarity with ISO 13485, IEC 60601-1, and FDA design control requirements.
Experience with flex and rigid-flex designs for wearable or compact devices.
Hands-on experience with SI/PI simulation tools and pre-compliance EMC practices.
Experience designing low-pow
