About the company
It-Jim is an AI R&D and product development company working in computer vision, audio and music AI, and on-device (edge) AI. Founded in 2015 by a PhD in signal processing, we’re now 30+ engineers and researchers with 200+ delivered projects and 300+ scientific publications behind us. We take on problems that don’t have an off-the-shelf answer: real-time inference on constrained hardware, audio understanding, vision systems that have to work outside a demo environment.
Our clients are founders and CTOs who can tell expertise from paraphrase. Everything we publish has to survive that audience.
Role Overview
The goal of this role is a steady flow of inbound enquiries from our ICP, and packaging that holds a $100+ hourly rate.
Two core channels for this role:
SEO and AI search — commercial pages built for buying intent, the blog rebuilt around the ICP, pages that language models cite.
LinkedIn social selling — personal brands of the CEO, CTO and CBDO, plus the company page.
You report to the CEO and work closely with the CBDO, and with an external Fractional CRO: strategy, weekly reviews, templates and acceptance criteria for every task.
In this role, you will
Roll positioning out across every interface: homepage, service pages, profiles, case studies, tone of voice.
Run SEO and AI search together with the agency.
Rework the existing blog: what to rewrite for intent, what to merge, what to cut, what to upgrade into a lead magnet.
Start a publishing rhythm for three LinkedIn profiles: pillars, topics, drafts, calendar, comment work.
Produce proof: case studies with the client’s money in them, testimonials, project numbers. Interviewing engineers and clients is your job, not someone else’s.
Build sales materials: deck, proposal template, one-pager, the service page behind the offer.
Own two numbers per channel: enquiries generated, and the share of commercial-intent queries in traffic.
Manage contractors. Brief, deadline, acceptance against a criterion.
You may be interested if
You want to own a channel, not a number of published articles.
You enjoy getting into a complex product: our texts are read by founders and CTOs who can tell expertise from paraphrase.
You can pull material out of engineers instead of waiting for it to be handed to you.
You want to see what marketing looks like when the whole GTM system is being built around it, not just your own lane.
Role Requirements
3+ years in B2B marketing for a services business (software development, R&D, engineering, consulting), focused on lead generation rather than brand activity.
Proven B2B SEO for services: prioritisation by intent, commercial pages, working through a contractor, and an understanding of why low-volume high-intent beats a traffic blog.
Hands-on LinkedIn social selling through personal profiles, not through a company page.
Written English at C1 or higher. You edit the copywriter, not the other way round.
You can read a funnel and count: for every number in your report, you know where it comes from.
Contractor management: brief, acceptance, replacement.
Nice to have
Marketing to a technical audience: AI/ML, data, embedded, deep tech.
AI search and LLM visibility: pages built for queries models cite, and measuring mentions.
Writing case studies from engineer interviews.
Lead magnets and gated content for complex services.
HubSpot.
Working Conditions
Employment type: full-time.
Paid vacation.
Onboarding and ongoing support from an external Fractional CRO: campaign strategy, weekly reviews, reply forensics, templates for every recurring task.
Compensation
Base plus a variable part. KPI weights shift over time because the channel is being built from zero: the first months are milestones and leading metrics, later it moves to enquiries and the revenue attributed to marketing. Attribution rules are signed off before the offer. Details shared during the interview process.
