About your role: We’re looking for a Head of AI who can turn AI adoption into a systematic business advantage — not just introduce new tools, but build solutions that deliver measurable financial impact. At United Tech, you’ll work with complex B2C products reaching millions of users across international markets, identifying where AI can improve product performance, accelerate development, and make our teams more effective. This role combines strong engineering expertise, hands-on experience with production LLM systems, and a business mindset to turn AI opportunities into scalable solutions with proven results.
In this role, you will
Define and drive the company's AI strategy, turning business opportunities into a structured roadmap of AI initiatives
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI use cases across product development and internal business processes
Lead the design and implementation of production-ready LLM solutions, including AI agents, multi-agent systems, and generative features
Build and scale internal AI tools that improve engineering productivity and are actively adopted by other teams
Evaluate the business case for AI initiatives before development, estimating expected impact, development costs, and inference expenses
Establish measurement frameworks to assess the actual impact of AI solutions, define baselines, and distinguish real improvements from external factors
Introduce engineering standards and best practices for AI development, including architecture, evaluation, security, and reliability
Work closely with engineering and product teams to integrate AI into existing workflows, development processes, and products
It’s all about you
5+ years of software development experience (we’re open to considering candidates with less experience if they have strong relevant expertise)
2+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-based solutions in production, including AI agents, integrations, and generative features
Experience developing internal tools and AI solutions actively used by other teams
Ability to evaluate the economics of AI initiatives before development, including expected business impact, development costs, and inference costs
Experience measuring the actual impact of implemented solutions, defining baselines, choosing measurement methods, and separating results from external factors
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, including estimation, code reviews, and release management
Understanding of product metrics such as conversion, retention, ARPU, and unit economics
Upper-Intermediate (B2) English or higher
It would be a plus
2+ years of experience in a Tech Lead or Staff Engineer role
Experience implementing RAG solutions for codebases or technical documentation
AI skills & tools
Experience designing and operating multi-agent systems in production, including orchestration, autonomy boundaries, failure handling, and human-in-the-loop workflows
Hands-on experience building custom MCP servers, not just integrating existing ones
Advanced Claude Code expertise, including custom skills, commands, subagents, and hooks
Strong context engineering skills: understanding what belongs in the context window, what should be handled through RAG, and what should be exposed as a tool
Experience with evaluation frameworks, including offline evaluation datasets, LLM-as-a-judge, and detecting model performance degradation after updates
Understanding of inference economics and optimization techniques, including cach
