FAQ

Common questions about this CV

Do I need a formal certification for serious projects?

For oil and gas and industrial subcontractors, yes. Without AWS, ASME or EN ISO 9606 you will not get on pipeline work. Light fabrication can run on in-house qualification.

How do I prove real weld quality on a CV?

Quote your X-ray or UT pass rate, joint type and thickness. Recruiters trust those numbers more than a certificate alone.

Should I move into stainless and aluminum TIG?

Yes, the niche is narrower and pays more. Food production, pharma and architectural facades reward TIG far better than basic SMAW on carbon steel.

What does a typical EU rotation look like?

Poland and Czech Republic run 4-on, 1-off or 8-on, 2-off. Norway and Sweden go 3 to 6 months. Without EN ISO 9606 and basic English you will not get past screening.
