FAQ

Common questions about this CV

Should I list pet projects if I already have commercial experience?

Yes, but keep it short and only include projects that add something beyond your day job. Trying a new framework or building a small library is worth showing; another todo app is not.

How long should a Frontend Developer CV be?

One page for junior and middle, two pages maximum for senior with a long track record. Recruiters spend roughly 7 seconds on a first scan, so density beats length.

Should I link my GitHub if there's not much activity?

If the profile is empty or full of forks, leave it off. Instead link 1-2 deployed projects on Vercel or Netlify, even small learning ones, so the recruiter can click and see something working.

How do I present freelance experience without big-name companies?

Treat each meaningful project like its own role: client (anonymised if needed), problem, stack, outcome with numbers. Upwork or direct clients count as real experience as long as you show impact.

Do I need English for my first frontend job?

For Ukrainian product companies, A2-B1 is usually enough since most communication is in Ukrainian. For outsourcing and EU roles you'll need B2, because client calls will be daily.
