FAQ

Common questions about this CV

How long should a CEO CV be?

Two pages, even with 20 years of experience. Search firms and founders read fast, so the first page has to land on its own: company scale, ARR, raise history, exit if any.

Should I list exact revenue and raise numbers?

Yes. A CEO CV without numbers reads thin. If NDAs apply, give bands or magnitudes like '$5-10M ARR' or '8-figure Series A'. Specificity always beats vagueness.

How do I position fundraising if I haven't closed a large round?

Show pre-seed, bridge, grants, debt or bootstrapping to profitability. Investors weight capital efficiency as much as big checks. Tell the story of stretching every dollar.

Are MBA and education worth listing?

An MBA from a top school (INSEAD, Wharton, LBS) helps at later rounds and inside top-tier VC portfolios. Keep it short and let outcomes lead the page.

How do I position myself as CEO without an exit or large raise?

Lean on operating excellence: margin, retention, NPS, team building, navigating turbulence. Not every CEO IPOs, but every strong CEO has a story of discipline and stamina.
