The ideal candidate’s skills include:
Demonstrable hands-on experience working extensively in an enterprise CMS or digital experience platform such as Optimizely, Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Contentful or similar
Experience building and maintaining complex web pages using reusable components or modular/design-system-based page structures
Strong understanding of how modern websites and CMS platforms work, including the relationship between content, components/templates, front-end presentation and development
Ability to work confidently with web developers and discuss requirements, bugs, component behavior and technical constraints using appropriate terminology
High attention to detail and a structured approach to content publishing and website governance
Strong communication skills and the ability to translate between marketing/content requirements and technical implementation
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing requests and proactively flag technical dependencies, risks or changes that could affect delivery
Excellent spoken and written English
Optional:
Hands-on experience with Optimizely CMS
UX/UI/Graphic designer experience
Knowledge of Figma, InVision, Zeplin, or Adobe Photoshop
The Role
We are looking for a Web Content CMS Specialist to perform CMS activities as part of the Valtech Global Marketing team.
Your main focus will build and maintain landing pages on the website, making informed decisions about page structure, component selection, content hierarchy, internal linking and user journeys. In this role, you will collaborate closely with content, UX, SEO and web development specialists.
You’ll be working with the Optimizely platform. Your responsibilities will include:
Build and maintain website pages in the CMS based on approved content, wireframes and designs
Select and configure the appropriate CMS components to create effective page layouts and user journeys
Understand the website’s information architecture, content hierarchy and component structure, and apply these consistently when creating or updating pages
Collaborate directly with regional marketers, designers, copywriters, web developers and understand common web and content terminology, and concepts relevant to CMS implementation
Understand and implement SEO/GEO and accessibility best practices like content structuring, metadata implementation, and URL management
Use website analytics and SEO insights where appropriate to identify opportunities for cross-linking relevant content across the website
Maintain high standards of CMS hygiene and content governance, including naming conventions, asset usage, page structure and content organization.
Communicate proactively when technical dependencies, CMS limitations, changing requirements or other issues could affect delivery
