We are looking for a Slot Game Designer who wants to create modern, distinctive slot games — not simply rebuild the same traditional 5×3 slot with familiar themes and recycled mechanics.
We’re looking for someone who thinks beyond standard formulas and wants to create games that feel fresh, visually distinctive, satisfying to play, and recognizable at first glance.
What you’ll do
Create original slot game concepts from the initial idea to a complete game design.
Develop engaging core mechanics, bonus features, progression systems, special symbols, and game loops.
Explore concepts beyond traditional slot formulas: cluster mechanics, persistent features, transformations, collections, evolving boards, character-driven mechanics, and other experimental approaches.
Work closely with mathematicians to transform creative mechanics into balanced and viable game models.
Collaborate with artists and animators on visual direction, symbols, characters, UI, animations, VFX, and overall game presentation.
Think about the game as a complete experience — how mechanics, visuals, animation, sound, pacing, anticipation, and rewards work together.
Analyze successful modern slot games and understand what makes their mechanics, presentation, and player experience effective.
Create and iterate on prototypes based on playtests, feedback, and performance.
Present and clearly communicate game concepts to developers, artists, animators, mathematicians, and other team members.
What we’re looking for
Experience in slot game design or strong game design experience combined with a solid understanding of slot mechanics.
Strong knowledge of modern online slots, game mechanics, and current iGaming trends.
Ability to create mechanics that are easy to understand but provide depth, excitement, and a satisfying gameplay loop.
Strong creative thinking and the ability to generate original game concepts rather than rely on existing templates.
Good visual taste and attention to presentation — you care about how a game looks, feels, and plays, not only about its mathematical model.
Understanding of how mechanics can influence the visual and emotional experience of the game.
Ability to clearly communicate ideas and turn abstract concepts into structured game design.
Comfortable working with prototypes, testing ideas, receiving feedback, and iterating quickly.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Portfolio or examples of games, features, mechanics, or concepts you have designed.
What we especially value
We’re especially interested in designers who look at studios such as Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City, Push Gaming, ELK, Peter & Sons and think:
“How can we make something even more interesting?”
rather than:
“How can we make another version of this?”
We value games with:
Strong and recognizable visual identity.
Memorable signature mechanics.
Clear and engaging feature progression.
Strong anticipation and satisfying payoff.
Interesting use of characters and environments.
Mechanics that actively influence the visual experience of the board.
Simple ideas executed exceptionally well.
A clear reason for the game to exist and something that makes players remember it.
What we don’t want
We’re not looking for a designer whose main approach is:
“Choose a theme, make 10 symbols, add Wild + Scatter + Free Spins, done.”
Traditional mechanics can absolutely be part of a great game. But we believe that every game should bring something new to the table — whether that’s a unique mechanic, an unexpected combination of familiar features, a distinctive visual experience, or a completely new way of interacting with the game.
About the role
You’ll have a high level of creative freedom and will work closely with a small, experienced team building a growing portfolio of modern slot games.
This role is a great fit for someone who:
Enjoys experimenting with new mechanics and concepts.
Is not afraid to challenge conventional approaches
