We are looking for an SEO Specialist to take full ownership of organic search for our SSL certificate product line: SSLs.com (a standalone SSL store) and the SSL section of Namecheap.com (one of the world’s largest domain registrars). This is a hands-on individual contributor role inside the SSL product team, without direct reports.
The priority is commercial pages — product, certificate-type and comparison pages that drive new customers and revenue. Informational content matters as support for commercial intent, not as a traffic goal in itself.
You will work closely with the SSL product team, developers, copywriters, designers, the BI team, the PPC team and the SEO team.
Your expertise:
4+ years of hands-on SEO experience (strong candidates with 3+ years will be considered), including ownership of a site or product area end-to-end, not only isolated tasks
Proven results growing commercial / transactional rankings and traffic in a competitive niche — ideally SaaS, hosting, domains, security, fintech or other digital products
Strong technical SEO: you can diagnose indexation, rendering, canonical, redirect and internal linking problems yourself and write precise developer tickets
Deep, practical understanding of search intent, SERP analysis and on-page optimisation; you can explain why a competitor outranks us and what to change
Confident work with Google Search Console, Semrush and / or Ahrefs, a crawler (Screaming Frog or similar); comfort with spreadsheets for analysis
Analytical discipline: you distinguish trends from noise, correlation from causation, and evidence from assumptions
Experience setting up and evaluating SEO experiments or structured content changes
Strong ownership, prioritisation and communication skills; you can move work forward without direct authority
Upper-Intermediate (B2) English or higher — written and spoken, for briefs, reports, presentations and discussions with international colleagues
Will definitely be a plus:
Domain knowledge of SSL / TLS, web security, hosting or domains
Experience with AI search visibility tracking (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity) and practical results from it
Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript SEO, server logs analysis, Git or basic scripting (Python, Apps Script, regex)
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and with connecting SEO work to revenue and new-customer metrics
Experience in a large product company with multiple brands or sites
What’s in it for you?
Opportunity to deal with top-notch technologies and approaches in a world-leader product company with millions of customers
Opportunity to make a difference for online privacy, freedom of speech, and net neutrality
Decent market rate compensation depending on experience and skills
Developed corporate culture: no micromanagement, culture based on principles of truth, trust, and transparency
“You build it, you own it” mentality in most contexts
Support of personal and professional development
coverage of costs of external trainings, conferences, professional literature
support of experienced colleagues
in-house events and trainings
regular knowledge sharing in teams
English classes and speaking clubs
Life-balance support
truly flexible schedule, no time-tracking at all
25 working days of vacation
5 days of paid sick leave per month (if necessary) without providing a medical certificate
generous maternity / paternity leave program
Professionally strong environment, friendly and open atmosphere, ability to influence the product development and recognition for it
You will be involved into:
Performance monitoring and diagnosis. Track rankings, Search Console data and business outcomes; separate normal volatility from real decline; find the cause when a trend persists (competitors, content, links, technical changes, Google updates) and act on it
Commercial page growth. Analyse SERPs and competitors for priority keyword clusters, define what each page needs (i
