• Strong, demonstrable expertise in Rust — async/concurrent code with tokio, trait-based abstractions, error handling, performance-sensitive code paths
• Deep understanding of Ethereum architecture: transactions, blocks, gas mechanics, ERC-20 tokens, DEX mechanics, MEV supply chain (searchers, builders, relays)
• Experience building and operating systems that handle real money or critical infrastructure — failure modes, kill switches, monitoring, rollback plans
• PostgreSQL proficiency: query optimization, high-throughput time-series schema design, migrations
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with complex backend systems and end-to-end technical ownership
