We are looking for a Test Engineer to own and mature the testing strategy for our platform. You will own the full testing pyramid: strategy, tooling, CI/CD integration, and how/when tests run across the organization, working directly with engineers to raise coverage, sharpen CI signal, and strengthen release confidence.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role for someone who thinks in systems: test coverage, CI signal quality, release confidence, and observability as one connected discipline. You will work in a large monorepo spanning backend services, frontend applications, SDKs, and CLIs.
What You’ll Do
Own the end-to-end testing strategy across the monorepo — unit, integration, API, E2E, smoke, and release tests — and define how/when they run in CI/CD
Lead testing of the web console (customer-facing product surface) using Jest, Vitest, and Playwright
Support Java/Spring Boot service testing using JUnit and Testcontainers (basic integration-test setups, not complex multi-container orchestration)
Improve CI/CD signal and workflows (GitHub Actions), and build working fluency with Bazel
Own and evolve the team’s linting strategy (ESLint, Checkstyle) — not just comply with existing rules, but propose and implement new ones with the team
Stand up security testing from the ground up: Semgrep, SAST, secret scanning, with DAST/IAST as a future direction
Partner with the infrastructure team to identify and fix Kubernetes manifest (YAML) issues using tools like Trivy and Checkov
Use Prometheus signals to inform testing priorities and debug failures
Reduce flakes, unclear failures, slow workflows, and coverage gaps across the testing pyramid
What You’ll Bring
Strong TypeScript/Node experience, including React testing (Jest, Vitest, Playwright), generated API clients, linting, and CI workflows (~80% of the role)
Solid Java testing experience with Spring Boot, JUnit, OpenAPI code generation, and basic Testcontainers integration setups (~20% of the role)
Experience improving CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
Genuine interest in learning Bazel
Basic familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes at the manifest level (no Helm authorship)
Awareness of security testing practices — SAST, secret scanning, DAST/IAST concepts Prometheus/Grafana
A practical mindset: comfortable owning a testing strategy, not just executing tickets Nice to Have
Experience with LaunchDarkly, PostHog, OpenAPI, private package registries, or multi-cloud deployments
Fluency with AI-assisted engineering workflows — using agentic coding/testing harnesses safely, critically reviewing AI-generated changes, adopting AI-native dev tooling
Experience with SDK or CLI release pipelines
Benefits
Vacation — 12 business days
1 week of sick leave
Partial or full compensation of professional skillset development e-Learning courses upon request
Equipment can be provided upon request
Business trips are possible upon client request or strategic business development opportunity
