We are looking for a proactive Senior Payment Manager / Team Lead to oversee and optimize our payment operations.
As a Senior Payment Manager / Team Lead at PayDo, you’ll play a key role in optimising payment performance across different channels: banking, acquiring, alternative payment methods and debit card payments, with a strong focus on banking. Collaborating with business stakeholders and partnering financial institutions, you’ll implement payment solutions and drive efficiency while expanding our partner network.
Your Regular Tasks
Payment Operations & Analytics:
Payment Tracking: Ensure all payments are monitored and tracked efficiently using available tools, and resolve any issues promptly
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Key Account Management, Support, Finance, and IT) by providing updates, clarifications, and resolving payment-related issues
Address failed payments and delays, escalate complex issues when needed, and ensure proper documentation is maintained throughout the process
Take ownership of your respective Tableau dashboards to monitor the operations and performance of payment channels
Analyse payment data to track conversion, identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and other relevant metrics in Tableau
Collaboration with Payment Providers:
Manage and maintain relationships with payment providers, banks, and financial institutions to improve system robustness
Evaluate and recommend new payment providers/methods that align with business goals
Assist in the onboarding process of new payment providers to expand our product offering (i.e. financial forecasts related to payment volume projections)
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and implement payment requirements and configurations
Conduct thorough testing of new/existing payment channels and collaborate with payment providers to resolve them
SWIFT:
Work within Swift Alliance Cloud to check incoming/outgoing payments, payment queues, and configurations
Contact banking partners to verify whether the payment was received, delayed, or rejected
Use MT103 or UETR (for SWIFT GPI transactions) to track the payment’s status
Skills & Requirements:
3+ years of proven experience in payment operations or related roles within FinTech or Banking
A proactive approach to driving initiatives and improvements is a must
Strong understanding and experience working with the following payment rails: SWIFT, SEPA, SEPA Inst, SEPA DD, FPS.
Knowledge of SWIFT Message Types such as MT/MX and understanding of transaction details in such messages (correspondent banks, amount, currency, sender, and recipient information, etc.)
Experience working with SWIFT RMA and/or understanding of different SWIFT messaging services, such as FIN or FileAct, would be a big plus
Experience working and communicating with different types of financial institutions (banks, fintechs, PSPs)
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools is a strong plus
Comfortable working in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to analyse large datasets
At least a general understanding of financial regulations and AML requirements
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams
Strong Problem-solving and Troubleshooting skills
