🎯 Role Overview
As a Payment Monitoring Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring payment systems, providers, and transaction flows to ensure stable and efficient payment operations. You will quickly identify and respond to incidents, coordinate with internal teams and payment partners, and help minimize disruptions while maintaining optimal payment performance.
⚙️ Your Tasks:
Monitor payment providers, transaction flows, and system statuses across platforms in real-time;
React promptly to automated alerts and triggers if a payment provider goes down, becomes unstable, or if Approval Ratio (AR) drops;
Promptly notify relevant departments to disable or re-enable payment methods and adjust routing rules when required to minimize downtime;
Track, analyze, and investigate payment incidents, delays, or abnormal behavior using analytics tools;
Communicate directly with payment providers’ support teams and internal technical teams to identify root causes of issues;
Escalate critical incidents to internal stakeholders and management when necessary;
Maintain clear internal records of incidents, actions taken, and resolutions (incident logging);
Follow established operational procedures and contribute to their continuous. improvement.
👤 Our criteria:
1+ years of experience in a similar role (Payment Monitoring, Payment Support, or Fraud/Risk Operations);
Experience in iGaming, Forex, Crypto, or similar high-load industries is a strong plus;
Good understanding of payment systems, transaction flows, and the difference between Card processing and APMs;
Understanding of core payment metrics, especially Approval Ratio (AR) / Conversion;
Experience with monitoring and analytics tools (e.g., Grafana, Kibana, Tableau, Excel) will be an advantage;
Ability to stay calm, focused, and effective in incident-driven and high-pressure situations;
Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken) for communicating with international PSPs.
