Numerical Technologies LTD is a provider of custom software solutions and services specializing in risk, limits, and regulatory capital. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team.
Project: Development of a Market Risk platform for a global financial institution, supporting risk analytics, market data processing, and large-scale financial applications.
What you will be doing:
As part of the team, you will be participating in a client project focused on Market Risk Technology solutions. You will help develop new software features, as well as support and maintain existing ones. You will write scalable and fault-tolerant code, debug applications, and build solutions for market data processing and risk analytics. You will collaborate closely with the client, product managers, and engineering teams to understand the system’s functional and non-functional requirements. You will contribute to code quality through unit testing, integration testing, code review, and system design to build robust software that aligns with the client’s business needs.
What we are looking for:
7+ years of professional software engineering.
Expert-level in Java/Scala or C++ combined with strong Python.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, algorithms, and data structures.
Experience designing scalable backend applications, frameworks, or data platforms.
Experience building backend systems and working with REST APIs.
Experience working with SQL, large datasets, and data processing pipelines.
Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
Experience using distributed computing technologies is a strong plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Upper-Intermediate level of English or above.
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
What will be a plus:
Experience in financial services or Market Risk systems.
Knowledge of Historical VaR, Expected Shortfall, or FRTB.
