We are looking for an experienced Rocket Uniface developer to work on mature, business-critical healthcare software used in production environments. The work focuses on maintaining existing functionality, improving stability and maintainability, and supporting the gradual modernization of long-lived applications and integrations. The candidate must be located in EU.
Scope of Work
Develop and maintain applications and components built with Rocket Uniface
Analyze existing application logic, data flows, integrations and dependencies
Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes in complex legacy systems
Refactor and modernize existing Uniface components while preserving functional behavior
Work with surrounding databases, APIs and external application components
Support migration and modernization initiatives involving legacy application architecture
Collaborate with architecture, QA, product management and other engineering teams
Improve technical documentation and reduce dependency on undocumented legacy knowledge
Must-Have Skills
Several years of professional Rocket Uniface development experience
Strong understanding of Uniface application architecture, components and development concepts
Experience maintaining and extending large existing enterprise applications
Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities
Experience working with relational databases and data-intensive applications
Ability to understand complex legacy business logic and safely modify production systems
Structured working style with strong quality standards
Nice to Have
Experience with different generations of Uniface, particularly Uniface 9/10 or comparable enterprise environments
Experience modernizing or migrating legacy applications
Experience integrating Uniface with Java, .NET, C++, REST APIs or other external systems
SQL and Oracle experience
Experience with healthcare or other regulated software
Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex or similar for code analysis and modernization
Languages
Fluent English required
German is an advantage
