Own the product requirements and backlog — turning complex business input into clear, testable requirements and keeping product, UX, engineering and QA aligned.
Context
We are building enterprise AI solutions with an initial focus on AI-supported applications for a German banking client. You will own the product backlog, requirements and product documentation, working closely with engineering, UX, Business Analysts and QA.
This is not a pure Project Management or stakeholder communication role. Your core responsibility is to turn incomplete or complex business input into structured, actionable and engineering-ready product requirements.
What you will work on
Translate business input, meeting notes and transcripts into clear product requirements.
Create and maintain epics, user stories, workflows, business rules and acceptance criteria.
Identify gaps, contradictions, dependencies and unresolved decisions.
Own and prioritise the product backlog in Linear.
Coordinate refinement with engineering, UX, Business Analysts and QA.
Define acceptance criteria and support functional validation and product testing.
Maintain product documentation, decision logs, roadmaps and delivery priorities.
Use AI-supported tools to structure meeting information and accelerate documentation.
Ensure requirements are clear, feasible, testable and aligned with business outcomes.
Must-have
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Lead Business Analyst or Product Delivery Lead.
Strong requirements-engineering experience in software products.
Proven experience working with engineering teams.
Strong knowledge of user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and business rules.
Experience owning complex product backlogs.
Experience with functional validation and testing.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong ownership, attention to detail and ability to challenge unclear requirements.
Ability to work independently in a distributed international team.
Nice-to-have
Banking, financial services or other regulated-industry experience.
Enterprise B2B software experience.
Experience with AI, LLM or data-driven products.
Understanding of non-deterministic AI functionality and evaluation.
Experience with AI-supported documentation, transcription or translation.
Experience with Linear, Jira or similar tools.
German language skills.
Ways of working
You will work closely with the CEO / Overall Project Coordinator, German-speaking Project Manager, Product Designer, CTO, engineering leads, Business Analysts and QA.
The Project Manager handles business-side client communication. You will own the quality and maintenance of product requirements, backlog and product documentation.
Important
As this is a Germany-based project, we are primarily seeking candidates based in Western Ukraine, with Vinnytsia and Lviv being our preferred locations. Other secure western-region locations can be considered case by case.
