We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to drive customer engagements at Lemberg Solutions GmbH, primarily within the DACH market. You will play a leading role in pre-sales activities, working closely with clients from the earliest stages to understand their needs, shape solution concepts, and define winning proposals. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will bridge business and technology to ensure successful outcomes from initial engagement through to delivery.
In this role, you will focus on designing and positioning advanced AI, IoT, and cloud-based solutions — from connected systems and data-driven platforms to scalable cloud infrastructures and AI-powered applications. You will work across industries such as healthcare, energy and logistics, addressing complex business challenges with innovative and scalable technologies.
Necessary skills and qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Cloud Backend Engineer with any backend technology
Proven engineering background with a strong motivation to grow into a Solution Architect position
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (AKS, ACR, VNETs, Storage, Monitoring, Entra ID) and active participation in developing microservices architectures with containerized workloads
Understanding of cloud capacity planning and cost optimization (TCO profiling)
Readiness to propose alternative architectural approaches based on ready-made components
Ability to design solutions based on ready-made cloud components and propose them as alternative options to meet customer needs
In-depth understanding of security-by-design principles, including encryption, zero-trust networking, and secure service-to-service communication
Ability to lead technical discussions and present technical solutions to both internal teams and customers
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to balance business requirements, compliance, and technical feasibility
At least B1/B2 proficiency in German (conversational)
Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency
Will be a plus:
Prior experience as a Cloud Architect or Solution Architect
Practical experience building IoT solutions, including telemetry, connectivity, and reliability constraints, firmware lifecycle management, OTA updates, and device fleet management
Familiarity with GDPR and ISO 27001 compliance requirements
Proficiency in SDLC and V-model development
Experience with design control and requirements traceability in compliance with regulatory standards
Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305
