We’re hiring a QA Engineer to join ProCoders as a company-wide team member — not for a single fixed project. Depending on client needs, you may be placed on one of our active product teams, rotate between projects as priorities shift, or support several teams in parallel. What stays constant is the caliber of QA thinking, documentation, and automation skills you bring to any squad you join.
What You’ll Be Doing
Transform business requirements and user stories into comprehensive, traceable test plans covering positive, negative, and edge cases.
Own and refine test documentation (checklists, mind maps, metrics) so the entire team has instant quality visibility.
Hunt down defects: log clear, reproducible bugs, track them through resolution, and champion continuous improvement.
Validate and evolve the API layer with Postman collections and help drive performance testing (response time, throughput, load vs. stress).
Write and maintain automated tests, contributing to and growing UI/API automation suites (e.g., Cypress/JavaScript or similar frameworks) — even if you’re still leveling up, you’ll have mentorship and time to learn.
Use AI-assisted tools in your daily workflow — for generating test cases, drafting automated test scripts, analyzing logs, or speeding up documentation — and help the team adopt smarter QA practices.
Operate inside fast-paced Agile squads (typically FE/BE developers, DevOps, Designer, QA/PM & QA Lead) where your voice matters from kickoff to release.
Proactively surface quality risks, influence acceptance criteria, and help shape the “definition of done.”
Adapt to different tech stacks and domains as you move between or support various ProCoders client projects.
What Makes You a Great Match
3+ years in Manual QA with a knack for translating complexity into crystal-clear tests.
Hands-on API testing expertise (Postman or similar).
Practical experience with UI/API test automation — writing and maintaining automated tests (Cypress/JavaScript preferred, or a comparable framework) — or strong, demonstrable motivation to master it.
Comfort using AI tools to support QA work (test case generation, script drafting, debugging assistance, documentation) — practical, hands-on experience is a strong plus.
Solid grasp of performance-testing principles (latency, concurrency, bottleneck analysis).
Experience shipping in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments.
English B2+: you can explain a tricky bug or negotiate acceptance criteria with US and EU stakeholders.
Comfortable working across different projects, domains, and tech stacks rather than one fixed codebase.
Soft-skill superpowers: critical thinking, concise documentation, proactive risk-spotting, and genuine team spirit.
