Why this role exists: The purpose of this role is to ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of products through comprehensive manual testing across complex systems. You’ll help deliver high-quality releases by owning manual testing activities, improving QA processes, and partnering closely with engineering and product teams to identify issues before they reach production.
What you’ll drive: Test execution & quality assurance
— Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
— Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
— Validate software against functional and non-functional requirements.
— Verify bug fixes and ensure high-quality releases.
— Support performance and load testing activities where required.
Defect management
— Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
— Investigate issues and provide clear reproduction steps.
— Work closely with developers to resolve defects efficiently.
— Analyze recurring issues and recommend preventive improvements.
Collaboration & delivery
— Partner with developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
— Contribute to test planning and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
— Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics clearly.
— Support release readiness by validating critical functionality.
Process improvement
— Improve testing documentation, QA processes, and testing methodologies.
— Contribute to the development of reusable test scenarios and frameworks.
— Help increase testing efficiency through better tooling and automation collaboration.
— Share knowledge and support junior QA engineers in their professional growth.
What makes you a GR8 fit:
Must-have
— 3+ years of experience in Manual QA or Software Testing within the FinTech domain.
— Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
— Experience with functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
— Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools.
— Good understanding of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries.
— Experience testing web applications and APIs.
— Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
— Understanding of client-server architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
— Upper-Intermediate English or higher, with fluency in Ukrainian or Russian.
Nice-to-have
— Experience testing mobile applications (iOS and Android).
— Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments.
— Basic knowledge of automation testing tools and scripting.
— Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
— Experience in high-load or product-based environments.
