About the Role
ARX Robotics is building the future of autonomous defense systems in Europe — and the people behind that mission matter just as much as the technology. As Team Lead HR for our Kyiv office, you will be the go-to HR expert on the ground: the person who ensures our team operates compliantly, grows intentionally, and feels supported every step of the way.
This is a function-owner role where you will bridge our global People & Organisation team with the realities of running HR in Ukraine. You will work closely with local leadership, bring structure to a fast-growing office, and make a direct impact on how we attract, develop, and retain exceptional people in a complex and meaningful industry.
What You’ll Build
Lead the People function for ARX Robotics Ukraine, acting as a strategic HR partner to the CEO
Serve as the primary HR contact for all employees in the Kyiv office — advising leadership on employment law, HR best practices, and organizational decisions
Participate in local recruitment and selection, maintaining strong talent culture evaluation for current and future hiring needs
Design and run a structured, compliant onboarding experience that sets every new hire up for success from day one
Own performance management cycles locally — coordinating reviews, supporting managers in meaningful development conversations, and connecting individual growth to company goals
Manage HR administration: employee records, leave tracking, working schedules, timekeeping, and payroll-related data
Ensure full compliance with Ukrainian labor law, including documentation and reporting, and security requirements specific to the defense sector
Adapt and implement global ARX Robotics HR policies to fit the local legal and cultural context
Create and support learning and development initiatives that help our Kyiv team grow professionally and stay engaged
Drive employee relations with care — handling sensitive situations with discretion and supporting retention through meaningful programs
Champion ARX culture within the Kyiv office, coordinating internal events and fostering a workplace where people do their best work
Advise and coach managers on leadership, team effectiveness, employee development, retention, performance issues, and organizational changes.
What You Bring
5+ years of HR experience, ideally within a multinational, defense, or miltech environment
Deep knowledge of Ukrainian labor law, HR compliance, and the documentation requirements that come with operating in a regulated sector
Hands-on experience across the full HR spectrum: recruitment (participate in the process), onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and administration
The ability to work independently and make sound decisions locally, while staying aligned with global HR strategy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you build trust quickly, handle sensitive matters with discretion, and know how to have hard conversations
Experience maintaining HR records and reporting to both local authorities and international teams
A practical, solutions-oriented mindset — you do not wait for perfect conditions to move things forward
A bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
