About Bixter
Bixter is a recruitment and mobility company connecting overseas trainees with European employers in agriculture, food, and hospitality. We manage the full cycle from education, mobility, visa processing, and employer placemen and have run this successfully for 20 years. We're now building our first internal engineering team to create a unified digital ecosystem.
You'll be our founding technical hire, building the foundation our entire ecosystem runs on, from scratch. You'll architect and build our core infrastructure and central API layer, and ship the first version of the customer-facing web portals.
What you'll build and own
Design and build our core API service
Set up infrastructure from scratch, including cloud environment, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and security and GDPR-compliant data handling
Build the first working version of our web portals
Architect how AI capabilities get embedded into the core system so they're usable across the whole ecosystem
Make key early technical decisions, stack, architecture, tooling, that shape how the team scales
What we're looking for
Proven experience building a product from scratch
Strong backend skills: Python or Node.js, PostgreSQL, REST/GraphQL API design
Working frontend ability: React/Next.js or Vue/Nuxt, TypeScript you can ship a clean, working UI end-to-end
Real DevOps experience: cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Docker, CI/CD
Comfort integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, or similar) into production systems
Comfortable with ambiguity, making calls without a big team around you, and building fast without cutting corners on foundations
Experience working with Odoo is a plus.
