About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Team Lead to guide a cross-functional engineering team working on two products. You will be responsible for delivery, technical decision-making, and building an effective team that can move quickly without compromising product quality or stability.
The role combines hands-on technical judgment with people leadership. You will work in a multi-stack environment, align engineering efforts with business priorities, and help the team balance immediate product needs with sustainable technical development.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Data, QA, and other stakeholders to turn business objectives into clear technical plans and reliable results.
Work Format: Hybrid — 3 days per week at our Warsaw office.

What You’ll Do
Be accountable for delivery across two products, ensuring that commitments translate into tangible results.
Coordinate planning, prioritization, and execution, maintaining a clear view of progress, dependencies, and deadlines.
Guide technical decisions and the evolution of systems built with Python, PHP, and React.
Establish and maintain engineering standards, with a strong focus on code quality, testing, and reliable releases.
Work closely with Product, Data, QA, and other stakeholders to align technical execution with product goals.
Spot delivery bottlenecks, quality issues, and technical risks early, then drive practical solutions.
Support engineers’ professional growth through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and performance management.
Improve team organization, collaboration, and development workflows as the products and business evolve.
What We’re Looking For
Leadership and Delivery
At least 3 years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
Experience coordinating cross-functional product teams in environments that use multiple technology stacks, such as Python and PHP.
A strong track record of driving execution and delivering against agreed priorities and timelines.
Confidence in making technical and operational decisions independently.
The ability to introduce clear processes, maintain accountability, and refine workflows without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
Practical experience with Agile practices, preferably Scrum.
Technical Expertise
A strong backend engineering background, preferably in PHP or Python, with at least 5 years of commercial development experience.
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining APIs.
Solid knowledge of database systems and data consistency principles, including MySQL and MongoDB.
Experience with asynchronous workloads and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ and Celery.
Understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, production support, and incident management.
The ability to evaluate architecture and code quality across backend and frontend technologies.
Would Be a Plus
Experience working with WordPress-based products.
Familiarity with React-powered frontend applications.
Experience improving the reliability, performance, or scalability of recently launched products.
