• Lead one or more high-velocity backend engineering teams, owning delivery, team health, and execution quality end to end.
• Run 1:1s, coach engineers on growth and impact, and build feedback loops that keep people developing fast.
• Partner with Product to translate ideas into well-scoped technical tickets and milestones — reducing CTO dependency and enabling the team to plan with confidence.
• Drive planning rituals (backlog grooming, sprint flow, retros) and keep priorities aligned with business goals at all times.
• Guide technical design for backend services and APIs: review proposals, facilitate tradeoffs, and push for scalability and reliability as we grow.
