What We Do
Ten8 builds AI-native automation for freight logistics — voice agents for carrier calls, email agents for load negotiations, and compliance automation. Multiple products are live and generating revenue. We're scaling from one customer to several.
Why This Role
We're building a product org where one Senior PM sets direction and a small team of analysts own discovery and requirements across initiatives. You'll be one of those analysts — embedded in up to 2 workstreams at a time, running interviews, writing specs, and making sure engineering always has a clear "what to build and why" before they start.
The Role
You'll own the discovery-to-spec pipeline across your initiatives. The PM decides what's worth pursuing — you figure out exactly what it needs to look like, validate it with stakeholders, and hand engineering something they can build without guessing.
Run customer and stakeholder interviews — extract requirements from domain experts, brokers, ops teams
Write clear functional specs — user flows, acceptance criteria, edge cases, not vague feature briefs
Manage requirements across up to 2 concurrent initiatives — keep context separate, stakeholders informed, nothing stalled
Own the discovery phase end-to-end: problem framing, constraint mapping, solution scoping
Translate between business language and engineering language — brokers talk loads and lanes, engineers talk APIs and state machines. You bridge that gap.
Maintain living documentation — specs evolve, you keep them current and accessible
What You're Walking Into
Multiple active initiatives, growing. Discovery is the bottleneck — engineers are ready to build but requirements come in fuzzy or late.
Domain is complex (freight logistics, AI automation) but learnable. You'll have a PM and domain experts around you.
No heavyweight process — we want structured thinking, not 40-page BRDs. Specs should be as short as possible and as detailed as necessary.
You'll work directly with customers and internal subject matter experts. Calls, not just tickets.
You're a Fit If
5+ years in BA/SA/requirements roles at a product company or consultancy
You write specs that engineers actually read — structured, specific, no fluff
You run stakeholder interviews confidently and know how to extract what people mean vs. what they say
You can juggle 2 workstreams without mixing contexts or dropping threads
You're comfortable with ambiguity — early-stage discovery means incomplete info is the default
You ask good questions. That's the whole job.
On Domain Knowledge
No freight or AI experience required. The domain is learnable and the team will ramp you up. What matters is your ability to quickly absorb a new domain and structure messy information into actionable specs.
How We Hire
Take-home assignment (~45–60 min) — a real scenario; we want to see how you structure requirements
Interview with CTO — how you think about discovery, your approach to ambiguity, background
Discovery exercise — live session where you interview a stakeholder (played by us) and extract requirements
Offer
No lengthy loops. We move fast.
