Plan and run stakeholder interviews and workshops with business owners, reporting and data teams, compliance, finance and operations; record requirements, decisions and open questions.
Build and maintain the report catalogue: purpose, audience, owner, frequency, sources, criticality and priority; identify duplicate, unused and conflicting reports and candidates for rationalisation.
Map data flows from source systems through the data platform to reports, and identify critical data elements behind regulatory and key business reports.
Map data ownership and decision rights; document business definitions, KPIs and metrics in a business glossary; surface conflicting definitions for resolution.
Contribute to the target operating model for a data office or data-governance function (roles, forums, processes).

Five or more years as a business or data analyst in financial services (banking, insurance, wealth or asset management), on data, reporting or data-migration programmes.
Proven experience producing report inventories, data-flow maps, requirements and acceptance criteria.
Understanding of data-governance concepts: ownership, stewardship, business glossary, critical data elements, data quality.
Working knowledge of regulatory and management reporting in financial services and the data it depends on.
Able to read a data model and a Power BI report and ask the right questions; good working SQL for verifying data.
