About the client:
We are building the institutional liquidity gateway and execution layer for prediction markets - one regulated counterparty, one API, access and risk management across every major venue (Polymarket, Kalshi, and our own exchange). Prime brokerage for a new asset class. Small team, high technical bar, infrastructure already running in production.
What You’ll Do:
You will own our core systems end-to-end - setting the architecture and technical direction, building across backend and frontend, and running it in production. You'll work directly with the founders and set the technical bar the rest of the team is hired into.
● Core Architecture: Design and build the systems behind our cross-venue orderbook, execution stack, smart order routing (SOR), exchange & on-chain connectivity, and portfolio/risk management.
● Integrations: Integrate external venues and APIs where reliability and low latency matter most.
● Code Quality & Mentorship: Write high-quality, testable code - and elevate the rest of the team through thorough code reviews.
● Infrastructure & Reliability: Own infrastructure, reliability, and observability so we can move fast without breaking production.
● Engineering Culture: Shape our engineering standards, tooling, and early hiring process - defining how the next ten engineers will work.
Who You Are:
● Production Experience: An engineer who has architected and run production systems in the wild- owning them long after launch, rather than just shipping features and moving on.
● Full-Stack Range: Fluency in a modern language (Go, TypeScript, Python, Rust, or similar) with range across the entire stack: backend services, data pipelines, and user-facing components.
● System Design: Solid system design, API design, and data modeling expertise tailored for low-latency, highly scalable applications.
● AI-Native Mindset: You naturally automate your own work to ship higher-quality output, faster. You build LLM-backed tooling where it earns its place, and you still own and understand every line you ship, AI-written or not.
● Industry Experience: Proven background in Fintech, high-frequency trading (HFT), or market infrastructure.
● Technical Leadership: Comfortable taking ownership of technical direction - the person others go to for sanity-checking design decisions.
● Autonomy: Thrives with high autonomy, low process, and the ability to set your own direction.
● Team Player: Genuinely great to work alongside - we are a tight-knit team and culture matters.
Bonus Points:
● Hands-on experience with Blockchain / EVM.
