About This Role At Coreblocks, you'll help build a platform designed for One — the individual freelancer, artist, or business owner — rather than viewing users as abstract market segments. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of our automated testing architecture across backend microservices and native mobile applications. You'll ensure every financial transaction flows with absolute precision and zero noise. Operating with complete technical autonomy, you'll work directly alongside product and core engineering teams to bake quality into our build pipeline without corporate friction or micromanagement.
What You'll Drive
Unified Test Automation Architecture: Build, scale, and maintain robust automated test suites across backend systems and mobile platforms (iOS/Android) using TypeScript, Playwright, Appium, or Cucumber.
API & Data Integrity Engineering: Rigorously validate our API layer, taking direct responsibility for deep functional, contract, and data-integrity testing across REST and low-latency protocol interfaces.
CI/CD Integration & Continuous Delivery: Embed automated test execution directly into GitHub Actions or GitLab CI pipelines, enabling fast, predictable, and frictionless release cycles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with DevOps, product, and backend engineers during architecture reviews and sprint planning to design highly testable systems from day one.
Defect Ownership & Test Data Management: Identify edge-case defects, refine test data strategies, and build clear quality metrics to maintain high standards across all releases.
AI-Augmented QA Execution: Apply modern QA practices by leveraging AI tools to accelerate test case generation, test maintenance, and automated run failure analysis.
What We Expect
Automation Engineering Experience: 5+ years of commercial software testing experience with a strong focus on building and scaling automation frameworks.
TypeScript & Modern Frameworks: Deep proficiency in writing production-grade test code using TypeScript alongside modern testing engines like Playwright or Cucumber.
Native Mobile Automation: Practical experience building test automation for native iOS and Android applications using Appium or native framework equivalents.
Rigorous API & Contract Testing: Proven expertise in validating complex REST APIs in data-intensive, precision-critical environments before code reaches production.
DevOps & Pipeline Mastery: Solid understanding of modern CI/CD practices with hands-on experience integrating regression suites into GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
AI Tooling Integration: Active daily use of AI coding assistants and models (e.g., Cursor, Claude) for test design, script generation, root-cause debugging, and maintenance.
Clear Communication & Ownership: Strong end-to-end task accountability, interest in the underlying product logic, and fluent English communication built on transparency and respect.

Fintech & Payments Experience: Prior exposure to financial APIs, payment orchestration pipelines, or security and compliance frameworks.
