Akvelon is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join a cloud infrastructure project for a global technology client.
In this role, you will work on cloud-based applications and infrastructure, helping build reliable, scalable solutions and supporting complex Azure environments. The position combines C#/.NET development with cloud infrastructure, networking, automation, and production troubleshooting.
What you’ll do
Develop and maintain cloud-based applications and services using C#/.NET
Work with Azure infrastructure and compute services, including VMs, VM Scale Sets, Storage, App Services, Web Jobs, Key Vault, and Durable Functions
Work with Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, and routing
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using Azure DevOps
Investigate production and infrastructure issues across application and cloud layers
Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, performance, and maintainability
Create technical documentation and troubleshooting guides
Collaborate with engineers working across cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
What we’re looking for
3+ years of experience with C#/.NET development in cloud or enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
Good understanding of Azure compute and infrastructure services
Strong understanding of Azure networking fundamentals
Practical experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD
Experience with cloud-based applications and distributed systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Understanding of software reliability and production support practices
Ability to investigate technical issues and clearly document solutions
Nice to have
Experience with C++ or low-level systems programming
Knowledge of network operations, protocols, and troubleshooting
Experience with high-load systems and performance optimization
PowerShell scripting
Experience with ARM Templates, Bicep, or other IaC tools
Experience building diagnostic, monitoring, or support tools
Experience with service health monitoring
Exposure to hybrid infrastructure platforms such as Nutanix, VMware, or Dell
Experience with Dell edge servers, iDRAC, or similar remote server management tools
Experience working with large-scale, multi-regional datacenter environments
Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Azure AI
