The company A well-established B2D (business-to-developer) SaaS platform operating at significant scale. Their product is infrastructure-level - real-time connectivity used by developers worldwide.
The team ~6–7 people: tech lead, PM, delivery manager, 3 web engineers + contractors. Small, tight-knit, opinionated. Standups Monday and Friday.
The role One senior hire. This is a product-minded engineering role, not ticket execution. They’re shifting away from reactive delivery toward engineers who understand customers and drive outcomes.
Tech stack React + TypeScript (frontend), Ruby on Rails (backend), some Node/TS services, Postgres.

Developer empathy - you build tools for developers, you get the frustrations firsthand
Product thinking - question requirements, propose what should be built
Ownership - concept to shipped with minimal hand-holding
Proactive communicator
Comfortable with AI coding assistants (they use them actively)
