We’re looking for a Senior Node.js Developer to join the team behind a mature, mission-critical SaaS platform serving the aviation industry. Trusted by 13,000+ active users worldwide, the platform supports document management, regulatory compliance, and core operational processes for aviation businesses.
This is an opportunity to take real ownership of an established backend platform — maintaining and evolving it — while also contributing to new features and architectural improvements. You’ll be working with a modern, cloud-based tech stack built around AWS, with a strong emphasis on scalability and engineering best practices. The roadmap is stable and long-term, giving you the chance to influence technical direction rather than just execute tickets.
What You’ll Do
Take ownership of key areas of an established Node.js backend platform, ensuring reliability and performance for a large, active user base
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
Contribute to architectural decisions as the platform evolves and grows
Manage and configure cloud infrastructure — including servers, networking, deployments, scaling, and monitoring
Work hands-on with AWS services, particularly ECS (Elastic Container Service), to deploy and run containerized applications
Collaborate with the team on new feature development while maintaining and improving existing systems
Help drive engineering best practices across the codebase and infrastructure
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong experience with Node.js
Solid knowledge of SQL databases
Hands-on, practical experience with AWS infrastructure — not just consuming managed services, but setting up, configuring, and managing cloud environments yourself
Experience with ECS (Amazon Elastic Container Service) specifically
Experience configuring and managing servers, networking, deployments, scaling, and monitoring
Experience with Docker and containerized applications
Strong understanding of scalable backend architecture and distributed systems
Confidence taking ownership of infrastructure decisions and driving them forward
Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) or higher.
Nice to have:
Experience with AWS Lambda
