Spendbase is building the next-generation finance platform for modern companies. We optimize SaaS, cloud, and corporate card spend, and now we’re expanding our banking and card issuing team.
We’re looking for a Senior Golang Developer with hands-on fintech Saas experience (banking/cards/payments). If you love building scalable systems in a highly regulated environment and want to shape how corporate payments work — this is for you :)
What you’ll do:
Design, build, and maintain backend services for Spendbase’s new banking and payments infrastructure
Develop high-performance APIs and microservices in Go, ensuring reliability and scalability as we onboard thousands of customers
Collaborate with product, DevOps, and security teams to shape the architecture of core banking components — ledgers, transaction engines, KYC/KYB flows, and card issuing systems
Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code. Participate in code reviews, refactoring, and continuous improvement
Diagnose production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement efficient fixes
Keep an eye on emerging tools, libraries, and patterns in the Go and fintech ecosystems
What we’re looking for:
5+ years of experience developing backend systems in Golang
Experience in fintech or banking products is a must
Leadership experience is a plus
Strong understanding of concurrency, memory management, and REST/gRPC design
Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis) and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar)
Understanding of secure software design, authentication, and data integrity (bonus if familiar with PCI DSS or banking APIs)
Solid grasp of software development best practices: version control (Git), testing, CI/CD
Proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-scaling startup environment
Upper-Intermediate or higher English
