Що робити
- Initially, you will help lead the gradual migration of forecasting functionality from an existing Ruby on Rails application into a Python-based platform.
- This is not a lift-and-shift rewrite role. We are looking for experienced engineers who can:
- Recognize architectural patterns across systems
- Identify opportunities for performance and scalability improvements during migration
- Use modern AI-assisted engineering workflows effectively to accelerate delivery while maintaining high engineering standards
Що очікуємо
- A degree in CS or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years building production Python backend or web services
- Strong experience scaling backend systems under significant production load
- Deep understanding of performance optimization (CPU, memory, database/query performance, concurrency, caching, etc.)
- Experience with high-performance Python computing libraries and optimization techniques
Що пропонуємо
- Experience with forecasting, analytics, or other calculation-intensive systems
- Legacy system modernization or migration experience
- AWS and Heroku infrastructure familiarity
- Familiarity with Ruby programming language and MVC architecture
- Performance profiling and observability tooling
