Senior Back-end Engineer (AWS serverless)

Our back-end is growing faster than we can keep up — and we need someone who actually enjoys that kind of challenge. We’re looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer with serious AWS serverless chops to help us build something we’re proud of.
Who We’re Looking For A smart, experienced, and confident engineer who cares about clean architecture, enjoys collaboration, and thrives in a high-impact environment.
Must-haves:
5+ years of professional/commercial development experience, including at least 3 years with Node.js and TypeScript on the back-end
3+ years working with AWS and serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Cognito, CloudFront, Route53)
Hands-on experience designing scalable systems for real-world business needs
Solid understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed microservices
Experience integrating with third-party APIs (HTTP, SDK, webhooks)
Data modelling expertise for both SQL and NoSQL databases (indexes, transactions, eventual/strong consistency, CDC)
Advanced PostgreSQL knowledge
Previous experience in fintech or crypto
Nice to have:
Strong experience with React (hooks, state management, modern patterns), AWS EC2, VPC, RDS, Step Functions
GitHub Actions CI/CD knowledge
Passion for performance, security, and automation
React Native experience
Experience working in distributed teams or building products from scratch

What You’ll Be Doing:
Building and scaling full-stack fintech products that handle thousands of transactions
Designing and implementing architecture across both front-end and back-end
Collaborating with product managers and founders to deliver fast yet safe releases
Reviewing code and setting high standards for quality and security
Developing integrations with banks, payment providers, and crypto platforms
Contributing to the vision and future evolution of our platform
