Role overview As a Product Owner, you will own the delivery side of our product team - turning Product Manager briefs into clear, prioritized increments that engineers can ship. You will manage the backlog, define scope, make tradeoff calls, and keep Product, Engineering, QA, Sales, Support, and leadership aligned on what is shipping and why. This role exists to help the team move faster, reduce chaos, and deliver the right product value without turning work into endless ceremonies.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:
Own the product delivery backlog for a team of engineers, turning business and product briefs into clear, actionable increments
Break down complex ideas into smaller shippable pieces with acceptance criteria, dependencies, and a clear definition of done
Prioritize and re-prioritize work based on value, cost, urgency, risk, and team capacity - not gut feeling
Collaborate daily with the Product Manager, Engineering, QA, Founders, Sales, and Support to keep delivery focused and aligned
Write and refine tickets, clarify API behavior, edge cases, service boundaries, and expected product outcomes with engineers
Make scope and tradeoff calls when plans change, including cutting or reducing work when a smaller version can deliver value faster
Track delivery health, cycle time, WIP, blockers, and team flow, then communicate what is shipping, what changed, and what needs attention
✅ What Makes You a Strong Fit:
4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Delivery-focused Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role on engineering teams
Strong experience owning backlog, prioritization, scope, and delivery - not just moving tickets or running ceremonies
Experience working closely with engineering teams of 8+ people in a product or SaaS environment
Ability to turn vague product briefs into clear increments, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans
Strong technical literacy - you can read API documentation, discuss service boundaries, and work directly with engineers without a translator
Comfortable in fast-moving environments where priorities can change several times a week and the queue still needs to stay clear
English B2+ for written documentation, async updates, and cross-functional communication; Ukrainian is used day-to-day with the engineering team
➕ Bonus if you have:
Experience with Node.js, microservices, or products with complex technical architecture
Experience in marketplaces, lead generation, MarTech, sales tech, or similar high-volume transaction products
Experience in teams that ship continuously rather than only through fixed Scrum sprints
Experience using AI tools to improve product documentation, backlog quality, prioritization, or delivery workflows
Previous experience working directly with founders, CTOs, or senior product leaders in a fast-scaling startup
