About ILS
At Intelligent Legal Solutions (ILS), we’re transforming how fund formation and private equity legal work gets done. Our flagship product, Provision, is a legal tech SaaS platform that streamlines fund documentation and workflows for law firms and institutional fund managers.
We’re still early, but we have a clear product—market fit, a deep understanding of our buyers, and an ambitious roadmap. We operate at the intersection of legal, private equity, and workflow automation, and we’re building the go-to platform for fund formation teams globally.
This is a rare opportunity to join a lean, high-calibre team that is seeing significant traction in the marketplace. The bar is high, the work is hands-on, and the impact on the company’s growth, brand, and revenue will be direct and visible.
We move fast, take ownership, and stay close to our customers. We value clear thinking, simplicity over complexity. If you want to do the best work of your career in legal tech, we’d love to build with you.
About the Role
We are looking for a Middle or Senior Business Analyst to join our BA team. The team currently consists of a Lead BA and a Trainee/Junior BA, and you would be the third member.
You will work on a large enterprise web platform in the legal technology domain. The system has many features, many entity types, and many business rules and dependencies between them. A change in one module often affects several others, so we expect you to build a full picture of the product and to think through the impact of every change before it goes to development.
This is a hands-on requirements role. You will not only write short user stories and pass them on. You will investigate the problem, decide how the feature should behave in every case, document it, and support the development teams and QA until the feature is released.
What You’ll Be Doing
Elicit and analyse requirements from business stakeholders, existing documentation, and the current behaviour of the system.
Write detailed requirements pages in Confluence: business context, scope, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, business rules, permission rules, and edge cases.
Document the happy path and every alternative and negative case, so that developers and QA do not have to guess.
Create and maintain user stories and tasks in Jira, keep the backlog clean, and keep requirements up to date when decisions change.
Prepare option-based proposals when the business has not given a clear answer, describe the pros and cons of each option, and get a decision.
Take part in refinement sessions, sprint planning, and demos with several development teams.
Answer questions from developers and QA during the sprint, and clarify behaviour that was not covered by the original requirements.
Review test cases and support UAT and release activities where needed.
Work with mockups and diagrams (Figma, draw.io, or similar) to explain flows and screen behaviour.
Write requirements for AI-based features, including what the model receives, what the user sees, and what happens when the result is wrong or empty.
Share knowledge with the Junior BA and review their documents when needed.
Must-Have Requirements
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst on complex web systems: many features, many entities, many business rules, and many connections between them. Simple websites, landing pages, or single-purpose tools are not enough for this role.
Practical experience working in Scrum with more than one development team at the same time.
Confident daily use of Jira and Confluence.
Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases, and to choose the right format for the task.
Experience producing detailed requirements, not short summaries. You must be comfortable describing full behaviour: happy path, alternative flows, validation, error states,
