We’re looking for a Junior Front-End Engineer to join the web team at MacPaw — the company behind CleanMyMac, Setapp, ClearVPN, and a growing ecosystem of products used by millions of people worldwide.
The team builds and maintains the digital layer that connects MacPaw’s products with the world — marketing pages, landing experiments, payment flows, and the underlying infrastructure that keeps it all running.
As a Junior Front-End Engineer, you’ll work across a diverse set of web projects from day one. You’ll build new pages, support existing ones, help migrate legacy assets to a modern stack, and contribute to internal automations that make the whole team faster.
If you’re excited to grow your front-end skills while shipping work that reaches real users across MacPaw’s product ecosystem, we’d love to hear from you.
In this role, you will:
Build and launch new marketing pages and web assets using Next.js SSG and Payload CMS.
Maintain and improve 8+ active web projects, including working with some legacy components built on Laravel with Blade templates.
Help migrate existing web assets from older tools to the team’s unified Next.js + Payload architecture.
Contribute to internal workflow automations that eliminate repetitive manual work and speed up development.
Set up, launch, and monitor A/B tests to optimize user funnels and web performance.
Work with payment gateway integrations to support seamless checkout experiences.
Skills you’ll need to bring:
At least 1.5 years of commercial front-end development experience.
Solid understanding of React.js or practical experience with React-based frameworks (Next.js is our destination stack).
Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and modern web development principles.
Proficiency in semantic HTML5, CSS3, and responsive/adaptive web design.
Good understanding of RESTful API concepts and how frontend-to-server communication works.
Essential version control skills: commits, branches, and pull requests in Git.
Experience with modern build tools (Vite, Webpack) and package managers (pnpm, npm).
At least an Intermediate level of English language.
As a plus:
Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, or initial attempts to configure them.
Familiarity with Cloudflare.
Entry-level understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure.
A genuine interest in AI tools — experimenting with them, learning fast, and bringing fresh AI-driven approaches into everyday development work.
