This is a freelance, project-based role for a specific scope of work. Please include a link to your portfolio when applying.
About the project
We're looking for a UI/UX designer to redesign the configuration menu of an existing 3D product configurator. The configurator is used by clients to visualize and customize furniture/outdoor product lines in real time.

Current State
The existing menu is outdated, unnecessarily complex and creates usability challenges due to limited guidance for new users. It can also prevent the team from introducing new features. The current main goal for customer is to configure each product on the scene individually, rather than product composition as a whole, which can’t be done with the current menu set up.
Scope of Work
Audit of the current configurator UX/UI (we will provide details on main pain points and any context that needed)
User flow mapping for the new "configure by element" experience
Wireframes and interactive prototypes
UI design aligned with existing brand guidelines
Design handoff documentation for development (specs, states, edge cases)
Deliverables
UX audit summary
User flow diagrams
Wireframes (low-fi)
Interactive prototype (e.g., Figma)
Final high-fidelity UI designs, including all component states (default, hover, selected, disabled, error)
What we're looking for
Strong portfolio in configurator, e-commerce or product customization UX
Experience designing complex interfaces
Comfort working with 3D/visual product data and real-time preview systems
Ability to simplify complexity without removing functionality
Familiarity with component-based design systems
Strong communication skills (a collaborative process with our internal team and stakeholders)
