Infineon’s Power System IC (PSI) Software Development team is seeking a Firmware Engineer to support the development and validation of embedded firmware for advanced DC/DC power conversion ICs.
Job description
Develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for power IC applications using C
Assist with the implementation of real-time control and configuration firmware, and in debugging and validating firmware with mixed-signal hardware in a lab environment
Support firmware development for peripherals such as ADCs, DACs, and communication interfaces
Work with serial communication protocols including I2C and PMBus
Collaborate with senior firmware, hardware, and software engineers
Create and update firmware documentation, including feature descriptions and user guides
Participate in code reviews and follow established firmware development best practices
Your profile
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Up to 2 years of experience in embedded firmware development, including internships or academic projects
Experience in DC-DC power conversion systems, with basic understanding of mixed-signal systems (good to have)
Basic proficiency in C programming for embedded systems
Familiarity with embedded system concepts and MCU architecture
Basic understanding of serial communication protocols such as I2C, UART, or PMBus
Fluency in English
